I've celebrated another dance around the sun and was inspired to create these entertaining, festive, healthy, high-protein treats! These protein balls genuinely are delicious and hit that birthday cake spot. I have found that the vital ingredient to any good protein ball is the protein that you use, which is precisely why the Banillamaca protein is the absolute perfect fit for this recipe; it offers a healthy dose of grain-free, keto-friendly protein without that stevia taste. The vanilla's warming notes pack the one-two punch on the flavor train, which is the key to these satisfying balls.
What you need:
This recipe couldn't be more straightforward! Here are the ingredients.
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
2 cups almond flour
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
dash of sea salt
1/4 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
1/4 cup Birthday cake sprinkles ( I used vegan Whole Foods brand)
1/4 maple syrup
- Combine the coconut flakes and sprinkles onto a plate or a cutting board.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix all other ingredients.
- Mix well until a sticky, doughy texture is achieved.
Using an ice cream scooper, or spoon scoop out uniform balls, roll them individually into the sprinkle coconut mixture. Complete this process until all of the mixtures are used.
Place on a plate, and chill uncovered in the fridge for 30 minutes! These may also be frozen; if you would like to keep them longer, thaw before eating.
These no-bake protein Birthday Cake balls are the perfect way to indulge without the guilt!
